NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan Group marks a significant milestone as assembly of the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65 begins in the U.S., starting a new chapter of luxury vehicles that builds on nearly 15 years of INFINITI assembly in Tennessee using domestic and imported parts. For more than four decades, the Smyrna assembly plant in Tennessee has played a critical role in the company’s North American footprint. The addition of QX65 builds on that foundation, expanding the plant’s responsibility to include an all‑new nameplate developed during a pivotal period of transformation for INFINITI. Investment in training, tooling and assembly processes was completed to prepare the Smyrna plant for QX65. These efforts ensure the plant is equipped to deliver the high level of craftsmanship, precision and consistency required by INFINITI’s newest model — from fit and finish to overall quality. “Assembling an all-new INFINITI nameplate in Tennessee underscores the strength of our manufacturing operations and the team members behind it,” said David Johnson, regional senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing, Nissan Americas. “The dedication and commitment of our Smyrna team members, as well as those at our Decherd engine facility, to deliver manufacturing excellence helps us offer exceptional new U.S.-assembled vehicles2 that satisfy our consumers for years to come.” “The start of QX65 assembly is a powerful statement about where INFINITI is heading and affirms the brand as a key pillar of Nissan’s future,” said Eric Ledieu, vice president, INFINITI Americas. “It reflects our belief in U.S. manufacturing, our confidence in our teams and our readiness to deliver on INFINITI’s product renaissance with vehicles that reset expectations in their segments. Proudly assembled in Tennessee, QX65 accelerates our brand forward with a sporty fastback design, a thoughtfully crafted cabin and spirited, rewarding drive.” For more than 40 years, Nissan’s roots in Tennessee have helped drive job creation, investment and innovation across our state,” said Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee. “The start of assembly for the all-new QX65 is another example of Nissan’s long-term commitment to manufacturing excellence in Tennessee and to the skilled men and women who make it possible.” Bringing the next INFINITI to life The all‑new 2027 INFINITI QX65 is a two‑row midsize luxury SUV designed for the heart of the premium segment, representing the next evolution of INFINITI’s design and engineering philosophy.
